The Apennine Mountains :

In this series of 8 bush trips we'll explore the "wild heart of Italy": the Apennine mountains. Bordered by two seas, it brings a rich diversity of ecosystems and wildlife, open hillsides and alpine grasslands.

The Apennines are the long system of mountains and hills that run down the Italian peninsula from the Cadibona Pass to the tip of the Calabria Region and continue on the island of Sicily. The range is about 1,245 miles (2,000 km) long; it is only about 20 miles (32 km) wide at either end but about 120 miles (190 km) wide in the Central Apennines, east of Rome, where the "Great Rock of Italy" (Gran Sasso d’Italia) provides the highest Apennine peak (9,554 ft [2,912 m]) and the only glacier on the peninsula, Calderone, the southernmost in Europe.

The main goal of the trips is sight seeing. The airplane is the Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX with assistance settings set to easy (some of these can be changed). There are also icons that show the way to get to the waypoints and final destination. (A leg is ended or a bush trip completed after the engine is shut down)

Seven languages are included : English, French, German, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. The translations were made with google translate and are not linguistically corrected. They are to be taken for what they are.

Flightbooks (pdf) only in English language are included separately.
