Are there stock airplanes that you never fly? Ever wish you could hide them from your hangar? Well, now you can! This mod will let you hide stock aircraft from the hangar & aircraft selection menu, reducing clutter while still allowing (many of) them to be seen in multiplayer.
This package contains folders for the Standard, Premium, Deluxe, and 40th Anniversary aircraft, and several other MS/Asobo Local Legend/Famous Flyers. Some aircraft, like the Shock Ultra, have multiple folders for different variants (wheels, floats, skis) so you can hide them individually.
Simply put the "z-otbu-hide-*" folder for the aircraft you want to hide in your Community folder (or, better yet, use the Add-On Linker), and the next time you launch the sim, that aircraft won't appear in your hangar.
Known Issues:
- 3rd party liveries can cause an hidden aircraft to appear in the hangar anyway, showing the text "airplane.ui_manufacturer" instead of the actual manufacturer name. Please be sure to disable 3rd party liveries, performance mods, etc. for hidden aircraft before launching the sim. Do not attempt to "fix" the issue by edting aircraft configuration files.
- For some reason, the Aviat S-1 Pitts cannot be hidden, although the two Aviators liveries and the S2 variant can.
- Encrypted aircraft and others with missing or incomplete aircraft.cfg files may not be visible or show the incorrect model in multiplayer.
GLIDER PILOTS TAKE NOTE: Hiding the MS/Asobo C172_AS1000 will also hide the C172 towplane from the Launch Method selection screen of gliders.

1.it is now red in the msfs addons(mad) folder.
2. when clicked it turns green and the A310 appears in the community folder (cf), both within (mal) and within (fs2020)
3. when you click again it turns red again and disappears in the (cf) both inside (mal) and inside (fs2020)
4. now I noticed that several aircraft.ui_manufacturer files are still visible
5. I assumed without checking in the (cf of fs2020), that I also had to remove these to make them invisible again.
6.Unfortunately I did, with the result that there were problems using several planes from fs2020 itself.
7. afterwards I found the following information...The file aircraft.cfg is a required file for every Microsoft Flight Simulator aircraft. It provides general information about the aircraft and its simulation variations. The ui_manufacturer parameter in this file is used to define the manufacturer of the aircraft1 (or rename it)
8. I don't know how to fix this
9.I don't understand what you mean by... I think you are confusing the Community folder and the Aircraft selection screen in the sim.
THE phenomena with the fs2020 aircraft are that when taking off with full power at a certain moment the power goes back and you cannot take off. Oddly enough, you don't see this in the instruments. In addition, the aircraft then pulls to the left or right and is uncontrollable

When I checked an aircraft from microsoft in the addons folder of the addons program, it appeared in my community folder in the program under the sign z-otbu-hide
when I unchecked an arcraft in the addons folder, they disappeared in my community folder in the program
but I stll found different aircraft.ui_manufacturer files, which I removed from the community folder in the addons program
I think I should not do this.
I tried to get all these files back, but I could not find them again
I think the program is not yet entirely monkey proof.
Now many of the microsoft aircraft are not working well.
I hope you can help me to repair this.

Great idea...thanks. One question...will this then mean that any hidden aircraft will not show as AI aircraft?

Hidden planes should still appear as AI or multiplayer aircraft.
