NASA's Goldstone Deep Space Communications Complex
Goldstone, California
When it comes to making a long-distance call, it's hard to top NASA's Deep Space Network. It’s the largest and most sensitive scientific telecommunications system in the world.
The Deep Space Network - or DSN - is NASA’s international array of giant radio antennas that supports interplanetary spacecraft missions, plus a few that orbit Earth. The DSN also provides radar and radio astronomy observations that improve our understanding of the solar system and the larger universe.
The DSN is operated by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), which also operates many of the agency's interplanetary robotic space missions.
The DSN consists of three facilities spaced equidistant from each other – approximately 120 degrees apart in longitude – around the world. These sites are at Goldstone, near Barstow, California; near Madrid, Spain; and near Canberra, Australia. The strategic placement of these sites permits constant communication with spacecraft as our planet rotates – before a distant spacecraft sinks below the horizon at one DSN site, another site can pick up the signal and carry on communicating.
Includes multiple 34 meter radio telescopes and one 70 meter radio telescope.
Closet Airport: 00CA Goldstone (governmental site)
**No work on 00CA airport has been done in this version. More will come later.
To find the scopes:
Mars (70 meter): fly runway heading 040 until arrive at lone 34 meter scope, then turn heading 000 to second telescope, then follow dirt road around a mountain and the 70 meter scope will be off in the distance slightly left.
Apollo complex: southeast of 00CA airport.
More to come!
Hope you enjoy!

I redid the exclusion rectangles to take care of duplicate telescopes. Be sure that your content.xml is recreated in your local>Microsoft Flight Simulator>packages folder as well.

This is really awesome! It does have a conflict with We Love VFR Region 2, though -- if you have that installed and active, you get doubled-up dishes at Goldstone. It'd be great if you could find a way to work around the conflict, as the detail on yours is great, but We Love VFR adds so much to the general scenery that a lot of us run with it active all the time.

Thanks for the tip. I do not use We Love VFR, I spend most of my time scenery creating. But maybe I will contact them and see if they want to incorporate my antenna....highly doubt they will though.
