This folder contains a repaint for the Lockheed L-10 Electra by Aeroplane Heaven. It shows Lockheed L-10A c/n 1051 NC14990, in the colors of Delta Airlines. As business grew in the mid 1930s Delta felt a need to provide modern equipment for its "Trans Southern Route", and accordingly began receiving 10 passenger Lockheed Electras in 1936  This aircraft remained the mainstay of Delta's fleet until the introduction of the DC-2 1940.  With the Electra the airline was able to provide cabin service for the first time. Cold lunches were served by the co-pilot who doubled as steward when not busy in the front office.  Repaint by Jan Kees Blom
