EGCD was a small Aerodrome in Manchester, England. It is now a housing development.
I have recreated my own impression of what it might have been like from archival data on the web. It probably bears little resemblance to the actual airport, except for the main runway. A second runway seems to have been present, but as I had no definitive info, I just added what I thought it might be. I also added some buildings, gates, and parking spots, including fuel.

I was a volunteer at Avro heritage museum, but did photograph a lot when the airfield was being demolished, but have noticed that the short runway is wrong in this, as it links on to the peri track near the bottom assembly (hanger 5) and should be further up from the fire station/museum, towards the main assembly /Avro house/canteen which was demolished first.
On the positive side, its a fantastic add on and an enjoy to fly from, with many hours of fun landing there in msfs, but also the airshows.
I know from my friends at the museum as well as friends at Chadderton, how sad at the closure of the factory's and a mistake too, as many apprentices trained there with yearly intake of new recruits, that provided skills for many.
It was not only a job but a family at both Chadderton and Woodford , that unfortunately has been destroyed by politicians and possible upper management who do not know what they are doing.

If I could get my head around the modelling tools, I'd be happy to recreate the airfield as it was, from the early 80's up to the day it closed after the Nimrod MR4A project was cancelled!

MANY thanks for this. Turns out, this is one of the main bases for the Boneyard, which I'd never attempted to visit until today 😊
