The Giuseppe Meazza stadium is an Italian football facility owned by the municipality of Milan. It hosts the home matches of Milan and Inter; due to the neighborhood where it is located, it is also known as the San Siro stadium, a name that officially had its inauguration, in 1926, on March 3, 1980, when it was named after Giuseppe Meazza, a footballer of both clubs hosted by the stadium, who died the year before. [3]

Nicknamed the Scala del calcio [4] or the temple of soccer, it is one of the best known stadiums at an international level, as well as being the largest in Italy, being able to accommodate 75,923 spectators. In 2009 it was judged by the British newspaper The Times as the second most beautiful stadium in the world [5] [6] and, according to an analysis conducted by the Chamber of Commerce and University of Milan in 2014, the Meazza is one of the most identifying symbols of the city after the Duomo and the Triennale. With the Turin-based Allianz Stadium and Olimpico Grande Torino and the Roman Olimpico he is part of the group of four Italian stadiums to return to UEFA Category 4, the one with the highest technical level.
