Presenting the Aerosoft Bombardier CRJ-700 in the colours of Eastern Air Lines, as seen on N8901E a DC-9-14 which operated with Eastern between 1971 and 1979. Eastern Air Lines planes would utilise this look with the white background to the blue cheatlines from the inception of the "hockey stick" look in 1965 until 1977 when the white was replaced with a bare metal finish.

Excellent livery! As an ex-Eastern employee, I am always looking for Eastern liveries for my planes. Even though it is a fictional livery it is very accurate. I was about to try to make a livery myself but you just saved me the trouble.

Love it, as always. I thought your bare aluminium livery of a few days previous was yet another of your most exceptional projects. Love how you added the "Whisper JET"logo because it was a huge part of their identity and branding. I think they ran 727s on multiple daily scheduled shuttle services up and down the USA's East Coast.
Oddly enough, literally 45 min after your posted the bare skin version. I got a big hit of Eastern nostalgia. Just happened across an old 1970s Robert Redford spy flick called Three Days of the Condor. It stars a few of said shuttles decked out in this livery with equally retro shots 727s interiors. In another scene, a 30 second Eastern tv spot played uninterrupted as the characters wait to hear breaking news on television. Thought I'd share in case this awesome livery caused a deep retro craving (as it did in me), now you can have an outlet to grab another quick dose.

Ex EAL employee here, 1980-1991. You can also spot lots of Eastern airplanes, uniformed employees, etc. in the 1988 Ernest Saves Christmas. Not the best movie in the world but entertaining and full of Eastern shots.
